What is GEO?
GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) is the process of designing and creating content to be found on Ai services such as Chat GPT, Gemini, Claude, and more. It’s SEO for the AI age.
What is social search optimisation?
Social search is the process of users querying social platforms to find information - and social search optimisation is the art of identifying and designing content to rank highly in these results.
Why digital discoverability matters?
Users are on the one hand implementing their Google searches with Ai results and social information, and on the otherhand replacing those searches with AI or social media entirely. The rate and pace of these behaviour changes varies by cohort and by topic. Recipes for food, for example, sees AI and social search as complementary to Google, with people getting inspired, or looking for practical evidence of the cooking method, but still searching Google. Beauty, however, sees social-first search behaviours for many users. Meanwhile many B2B searches see LinkedIn as a key aspect of researching a topic, or qualifying contacts in the process.
